After starting the season at Wrigley Field, the Milwaukee Brewers come back to the friendly confines of American Family Field for their home opening series. The Brewers face off against the New York Mets (3-1) for a three-game stretch. Below, we have Mets vs Brewers predictions for their April series, including projected starting pitchers, betting odds, injury report and the NL Central standings.

Milwaukee Brewers News | Mets vs Brewers Series Predictions

The Milwaukee Brewers return to American Family Field with a 2-1 record. After the Brewers’ offense fell flat in a 4-0 loss on opening day, they rebounded and scored 12 total runs in the last two games. The pitching looked good all series against the Cubs, outside of reliever Javy Guerra who gave up two runs in just a third of an inning of work in Game 3.

This Mets vs Brewers series will be a step up in competition for the Crew. While any series win on the road over a rival is nice, the Mets are one of the heavy favorites in the National League this year. If the Brewers can perform well in this series, they will have plenty of momentum for what looks to be a loaded schedule in April.

New York Mets News | Mets vs Brewers Series Predictions

The New York Mets continued to make headlines this offseason with owner Steve Cohen continuing to hand out money and large contracts like it’s candy. Many thought this was the year for the Mets until Edwin Diaz tore the patellar tendon while celebrating a victory in the World Baseball Classic.

The Mets kicked off the season in Miami against the Marlins. The Mets took three of four games and did a good job of limiting Miami’s offense. The Marlins scored more than two runs just once all series and scored eight runs total over four games. While Miami does sport a somewhat improved offense this year, the Mets will have a bigger test in store with Milwaukee. After their three-game stint with the Crew, the Mets return home for their home opening series against the Miami Marlins.
