Charles Johnson is listed as the best player to wear the Packers’ number 99, though it’s not saying much. He started 27 games for the Packers in his first two seasons. Johnson then spent time on the Eagles’ IR and was cut before playing one more season for Green Bay.
He joins the long list of third-round Green Bay draft picks that did not pan out.
2) Corey Williams, DT (2004-07)
NFL Draft: 2004, Round 6, Pick 179 to the Green Bay Packers
Corey Williams played four seasons in Green Bay to begin his career prior to spending time with the Cleveland Browns and Detroit Lions. He recorded 17 sacks, four forced fumbles and 20 tackles for loss for the Packers.
3) John Dorsey, LB (1984-88)
NFL Draft: 1984, Round 4, Pick 99 to the Green Bay Packers
Yes, THAT John Dorsey. Prior to joining the Packers’ front office as a scout in 1991, Dorsey played five seasons for the Packers. He made 15 starts wearing the Packers’ number 99.
While Dorsey wasn’t much of a player, he has become a great front office member. He is currently the Senior personnel executive for the Detroit Lions.

Currently, Jonathan Ford wears Green Bay Packers’ number 99. Ford was a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft by the Packers. He has not seen the field yet.
