1) Gabe Wilkins, DL (1994-97)
NFL Draft: 1994, Round 4, Pick 126 to the Green Bay Packers
Drafted in the fourth round, Gabe Wilkins was a solid contributor in the mid-90s while wearing the Green Bay Packers’ number 98. He totaled 88 tackles, 12.5 sacks, an interception and two touchdowns during two seasons for Green Bay.
Wilkins was a rotational player for the Packers when they won the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots, then he was a starter when they returned to the Super Bowl the year after. Following that season, he signed with the San Francisco 49ers.
2) Letroy Guion, DT (2014-16)
NFL Draft: 2008, Round 5, Pick 152 to the Minnesota Vikings
After spending his first six NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Letroy Guion joined the Green Bay Packers. He started 35 games while totaling 3.5 sacks and 83 tackles in three seasons.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t get that Vikings stench out of him. Following multiple suspensions from the NFL, Guion has had plenty of legal issues off of the field. Most recently, he was arrested in Green Bay in 2021 for a domestic violence assault.
3) Billy Lyon, DL (1998-2002)
NFL Draft: Undrafted in 1997
Despite going undrafted out of Marshall in 1997, Billy Lyon found a spot in Green Bay, and he ended up wearing the Packers’ number 98 for five seasons. He totaled eight sacks, 70 tackles and 11 tackles for loss during his time in Green Bay. Lyon ended up playing for one season in Minnesota to end his career.

Who Wears Packers’ Number 98 in 2023?
Currently, Chris Slayton wears the Green Bay Packers’ number 98. Slayton was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has spent time on the practice squads of many teams, including Green Bay. He has not seen the field in the NFL yet.
