After losing on Opening Day, the Milwaukee Brewers have turned red hot. The Brewers have won five straight games, including a recent three-game sweep of the New York Mets. Below, we have Cardinals vs Brewers predictions for this week’s series, including projected starting pitchers, betting odds, injury report and the NL Central standings.
Milwaukee Brewers News | Cardinals vs Brewers Series Predictions
The Milwaukee Brewers returned to American Family Field with a 2-1 record and bashed the New York Mets. They outscored them 19-0 through the first two games before a Garrett Mitchell walk-off homer in the final game gave them a sweep with a 7-6 victory.
This Cardinals vs Brewers series will be a great test for the Brewers. While, to this point, they have passed all tests with flying colors, the Cardinals seem to constantly be the kryptonite to Milwaukee’s success. If the Brewers can win this series, they will likely hold a nice lead in the NL Central heading into a series with Arizona.
St. Louis Cardinals News | Cardinals vs Brewers Series Predictions
After starting out the season strong with a series win over the Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis fell flat on their face against the Atlanta Braves. The Cardinals struggled to get any offense going, as they scored just seven runs over three games. St. Louis lost all three and now sits at 2-4.
For as bad as the Cardinals looked against Atlanta, their hitting numbers as a team are there. The Cardinals have a .324 average as a team with both Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Gorman hitting over .400. They have simply been unlucky in their ability to string hits together. If the Cardinals can start to get that figured out, the Brewers could have a tall task on their hands.
