How many beers were drunk by players and fans at the Milwaukee Brewers’ World Series celebration?
The party that followed the first Milwaukee Brewers World Series title lived up to the team’s name. At Friday’s championship rally on the Summerfest grounds at Henry Maier Festival Park, bar workers estimated that fans drank roughly 250,000 beers. The number covers only the festival park itself and does not include drinks consumed by the crowd watching the live feed at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
Bartenders described a constant scramble to keep the taps and coolers stocked. “The real situation of the beer is we kept running out, so we kept having to run over to the beer coolers, get restocked, restock over and over again,” one worker said. Another, who had been at Game 5 earlier in the week, called the atmosphere electric. “I was just ecstatic. Once in a lifetime because you only win the first one time. So it was amazing to be there. It’s been awesome.”
Over 250,000 Beers Drunk at Brewers’ World Series Celebration
The rally capped a celebration that drew more than 750,000 people to downtown Milwaukee for the parade and lakefront gathering, according to police estimates. That figure far exceeded early projections of about 400,000 and may have been the largest single-day crowd in Wisconsin history. Fans lined Wisconsin Avenue, packed parking structures, and filled office windows as double-decker buses carrying players, coaches, and staff rolled through the city. Along the route, Brewers players sprayed champagne, high-fived supporters, and chugged beers handed up from the crowd.
The beer theme continued on stage. Team captain Christian Yelich later summed up the day by saying the group had “way too many parade beers.” He noted that he took the Commissioner’s Trophy to the face, ending up with a black eye, but added that it was worth it for the fans. Outfielder Sal Frelick went even bigger in his speech, joking that he intended to drink 100,000 beers in honor of the people who showed up.
The volume of beer fit the scale of the moment. The Milwaukee Brewers clinched the championship with a 4-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 on Wednesday, ending a 44-year wait for a World Series title. Milwaukee last reached the Fall Classic in 1982, when the team fell to the St. Louis Cardinals.
For a franchise that has spent most of its history as a small-market underdog, the outpouring of fans—and the steady flow of beer that accompanied them—turned the lakefront into a single, sprawling toast.
There is no doubt that the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers season is one fans will never, ever forget.
