The Green Bay Packers are the most historic franchise in the NFL. Green Bay has won 13 NFL championships and is the only team to have won three straight championships, doing it twice from 1929-1931 and 1965-1967. The Packers franchise has seen some of the greatest players of all time pass over the bricks onto Lambeau Field, such as Curly Lambeau, Don Hutson, Ray Nitschke, Bart Starr, Reggie White and Brett Favre, among countless others. Even with their incredibly rich history, Aaron Rodgers may be the most talented player to ever don the green and gold.

10) January 8th, 2017: Rodgers’ Halftime Hail Mary
Coming into their Wild Card matchup against the New York Giants, the Green Bay Packers were red hot having won their last six games to capture the NFC North title. New York’s defense frustrated Rodgers and the Packers for most of the first half, with even some boos coming down from the stands. All that changed, however, when Rodgers made one of the greatest throws of his career.
After scoring a touchdown on their last possession and forcing a three-and-out for the Giants, the Packers led 7-6. With six seconds left in the first half and the ball on New York’s 42-yard line, Rodgers had one more play in him. After rolling out to his right, Aaron Rodgers launched a perfect throw that was hauled in by Randall Cobb in the back of the endzone as time expired. With a 14-6 lead heading into half and Lambeau Field whipped into a frenzy, the Packers outscored New York 24-7 the rest of the way to claim a spot in the NFC Divisional Round
9) January 15th, 2011: Flawless in Divisional Demolition of the Atlanta Falcons
After barely making the playoffs and outlasting the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card round, the Packers faced a daunting challenge in Atlanta against the top-seeded Falcons. Winning on the road looked to be an impossible task, especially after an Eric Weems 102-yard kick return gave the Falcons a 14-7 lead in the second quarter.
Unfortunately for Atlanta, Aaron Rodgers’ Packers found a groove and torched their defense for all to see. The Packers outscored Atlanta 41-7 the rest of the way with “Go Pack Go” chants raining down in the Georgia Dome throughout the fourth quarter. Rodgers was virtually flawless, finishing 31/36 with 366 yards and four total touchdowns. The Packers secured themselves an NFC Championship Game spot with the win, and the rest is history.
8) January 15th, 2017: Rodgers To Jared Cook
After knocking out the Giants at home, the Packers found themselves on the road against the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Round. After getting out to a 28-13 lead, a pivotal Rodgers interception let the Cowboys back into the game. With four minutes left and the game tied, Rodgers led a field goal drive for the Packers before Dak Prescott and the Cowboys answered with one of their own.
With less than a minute remaining, Rodgers was smoked by Jeff Heath on his blindside. Somehow, Rodgers was able to tuck the ball and have the mental wherewithal to call a timeout. With just 12 seconds left and the ball on their own 32-yard line, Rodgers drew up a play in the huddle. He rolled out to his left and, while running out of bounds, delivered a dart across his body to Jared Cook on the sideline. Somehow, Cook got both feet down. Crosby would squeeze a 51-yard field goal through the left upright to give the Packers a spot in the NFC Championship game.
7) January 16th, 2016: Rodgers’ Double Hail Mary
With less than a minute left to go at State Farm Stadium in Arizona, the Packers trailed by seven with less than a minute to go in the NFC Divisional Round. Backed up to their own four-yard line with 4th and 20, Rodgers rolled out to his left and floated a perfect ball to receiver Jeff Janis who was brought down at the Cardinals’ 36-yard line for a 60-yard catch to keep Green Bay alive.
After the Packers failed to make any headway for the next two plays, the Packers faced 2nd and 15 from the Arizona 41. The Cardinals brought a blitz but Rodgers was able to escape and roll out to his left. Off his back foot, while getting hit by the defender, he uncorked a beautiful ball that Jeff Janis was able to hall down. The Packers elected to kick the extra point to take the game to overtime. While the Packers would eventually lose, giving up a touchdown on the very first possession, the double Hail Mary will live on forever.
6) November 23rd, 2016: “I Feel Like We Can Run the Table”
After starting the 2016 season with a 4-2 record, the Green Bay Packers dropped four straight games, including two embarrassing losses in which they gave up over 40 points. When talking about the team in his weekly media session Rodgers said: “I feel like we can run the table, I really do…We get one under our belts, things might start rolling for us and we can run the table.”
After that comment, the Packers would not only win six straight games to finish the season, but they would win three of those games by double-digits. Not only were the Packers able to run the table and win the NFC North title, but they were also able to keep the run going all the way to the NFC Championship Game.
5) October 17th, 2021: “I Own You, I Still Own You!”
After improving to 4-1 with a crazy overtime victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers traveled to Soldier Field to face off against the 3-2 Chicago Bears. It was a sloppy affair for most of the game, but the Packers held a 17-14 lead late in the fourth quarter. With four and a half minutes left and the ball on Chicago’s six-yard line, Rodgers scrambled out to his right and found his way into the endzone. He took a shot at the end of the play and, when he got up, saw some Chicago faithful showing their displeasure with him.
With the game all but over, Rodgers delivered his iconic line, reminding Bears fans around the world know just how much he loves playing against them. Rodgers yelled to the crowd: “I’ve owned you all my f***ing life! I own you, I still own you!” This all-time line from Rodgers brought joy to so many Packers fans and doused more gasoline on an already intense rivalry.
4) December 3rd, 2015: “The Miracle in Motown”
Going into their Week 13 matchup with the Detroit Lions, the Packers were in trouble. After starting the season 6-0, the Packers lost three of their next four and could sense the NFC North and a playoff berth slipping away. The Packers found themselves down 20-0 in the third quarter and on their way to dropping their second game of the year to the Detroit Lions.
Down two with just 23 seconds left, it seemed to be all but finished. After two incomplete passes, a face mask penalty as time expired gave the Packers one more shot at a win. With the ball at their own 39-yard line, Rodgers rolled to his left before feeling the heat and going back to his right. Just one day after his 32nd birthday, Rodgers threw up a prayer that was answered when Richard Rodgers found his way to the front of the mob in the end zone and hauled in the touchdown. The win would be the start of a three-game win streak that would help give the Packers a spot in the playoffs.
3) December 29th, 2013: Rodgers to Cobb Part I
Things looked to be operating as normal in the 2013 season going into a Monday night matchup with the Chicago Bears in Week 9. The Packers were 5-2 and on a four-game winning streak. Instead, Rodgers broke his collarbone in the game and was out until their Week 17 matchup in Chicago against the Bears. With a 7-7-1 record, the only shot the Packers had of making the playoffs was beating the Bears to take the NFC North crown.
Down by one with just over six minutes left to play, Aaron Rodgers led the Packers on a drive for the ages. Already having converted on two fourth downs, the Packers faced another one. With just 46 seconds left and needing nine yards to stay alive, Rodgers rolled to his left and evaded a rushing Julius Peppers. Rodgers looked downfield and found a wide-open Randall Cobb down the middle of the field. Cobb would be tackled into the end zone and the Packers wouldn’t give the lead back. The win would give the Packers their third straight NFC North title, and drive a stake through the hearts of Bears fans.
2) September 9th, 2018: Rodgers’ One-Legged Comeback vs Bears
While there is always plenty of tension and build-up heading into a Packers-Bears matchup, few were as big as that heading into the 2018 season opener. The Chicago Bears had just landed linebacker Khalil Mack and felt that this would be their year to rule the north. In the second quarter, Aaron Rodgers immediately grabbed at his knee after being sacked and needed to be carted to the locker room. Khalil Mack wreaked havoc on the Packers’ offensive line and the Bears led 20-0 late in the third quarter.
Aaron Rodgers walked back out of the tunnel in the second half to thunderous applause and after the game said: “When I got the ovation, at that point, I said, ‘We might as well win this thing.'” Rodgers would do just that and lead a comeback for the ages. He threw arguably the best pass of his career to Geronimo Allison to cut the deficit to 10 before connecting with Davante Adams who wiggled his way into the end zone just five minutes later.
With two and a half minutes left and facing a third and 10 on their own 25-yard line, Rodgers found Randall Cobb over the middle. Cobb caught the ball at the 35 and did the rest himself, giving the Packers a 24-23 lead. Green Bay’s defense slammed the door on Chicago and the Packers started the season 1-0. While the rest of the season didn’t go as planned, no Packers or Bears fans will forget where they were on that night.
1) February 6th, 2011: Aaron Rodgers Leads Packers to Super Bowl XLV Title
After completing one of the most improbable trips to the Super Bowl in recent memory, the sixth-seeded Green Bay Packers faced Ben Roethlisberger and the second-seeded Pittsburgh Steelers in Dallas, Texas.
Green Bay’s offense started out red hot and the Steelers had no answer. Green Bay raced to a 21-3 lead in the late stages of the first half. If not for a few key drops by Packers receivers, Green Bay likely would’ve run away with this game and dominated from start to finish. The Steelers would fight back, however, and cut the deficit to three before Crosby knocked in a 23-yard field goal to put the Pack up six with two minutes remaining.
Whenever a big play was needed, Rodgers delivered with pinpoint accuracy. He finished with 304 yards and three touchdowns and took home Super Bowl MVP. The victory gave Green Bay their 13th championship and their fourth Lombardi Trophy. The Aaron Rodgers Packers legacy was cemented and Green Bay has been chasing that high ever since.
