The Milwaukee Brewers came back home after a long road trip and dropped a three-game series to the Boston Red Sox in disappointing fashion. The Brewers will look to bounce back and continue their reign as the only MLB team who hasn’t lost back-to-back games this season. Below, we have Tigers vs Brewers predictions for this week’s series, including projected starting pitchers, betting odds, injury report and the NL Central standings.
Milwaukee Brewers News | Tigers vs Brewers Series Predictions
The Milwaukee Brewers followed up a great road trip with a disappointing series loss to Boston. The pitching fell apart at the wrong time in the series, highlighted with a horrifying eighth inning on Sunday that saw the Brewers surrender nine runs in the inning.
This Tigers vs Brewers series will be a great chance for the Brewers to bounce back against a bad team. Will Milwaukee’s pitching be able to bounce back, or will the Tigers continue to take advantage? Another question the brewers need to answer is the future of Matt Bush. With 10 home runs surrendered in his last 25 1/3 innings for the Brewers, it’s hard to imagine he has much of a leash moving forward.
Detroit Tigers News | Tigers vs Brewers Series Predictions
In a surprise to nobody, the Detroit Tigers are once again having a “down year.” Detroit is currently 7-13 and has lost four straight which includes a recent three-game sweep against the Baltimore Orioles. The biggest problem for Detroit this season has been their anemic offense. The Tigers have scored just 60 runs in 20 games this season which is 12 runs less than the second-worst team.
Over their past four games, Detroit has scored more than one run just once. That was in a 3-2 loss to the Cleveland Guardians last Wednesday. The problem with Detroit is not just that they have a lack of power, but also that they can’t even get on base this season. While their offense has been bad recently, they’ll look to rebound against a struggling Brewers bullpen.
