Wake your neighbors, call your local congressman and slap your grandma, because Kwik Trip has a new Dunker Donut flavor! Kwik Trip has fully released the new Banana flavored Dunker Donut, to the excitement of many. But are these worth the hype and your hard-earned money?

Note: Please do not slap your grandma. She’s probably a nice lady. Bring her a Dunker from Kwik Trip that she can enjoy with her watered-down coffee.
Kwik Trip Food Review: NEW Kwik Trip Banana Dunker Donut
I went and got a six-pack of the new Kwik Trip Banana Dunker Donuts as soon as I could to do this food review. For full transparency, I was very excited. Banana baked goods are one of my favorite overall flavors. A six-pack of these is just $3.99 — the same as all of the rest.
The main question you have about these is probably the same one I had — do the Kwik Trip Banana Dunkers taste more like artificial bananas or banana bread? I’m happy to give you the unsatisfying answer of a little bit of both. However, if you have a strong opinion on the artificial banana flavor, I would lead towards that for your answer. While it’s not as strong as banana Laffy Taffy or banana Runts, there is no doubt the artificial flavor is more present than any natural banana flavor there is.
Now… the dunk test. Conducting this Kwik Trip food review at home, I dunked the banana donut in freshly brewed Door County Christmas coffee, so there was a bit of cinnamon and spice added to the party. Unlike some of the other Kwik Trip Dunker flavors, the Banana Dunkers are a great complement to a hot cup of joe.
The Verdict: Are the Kwik Trip Dunker Donuts Good?
I’d rank this new Kwik Trip food item a 4.5/5.
Again, give me any banana-flavored baked goods and I’ll be happy. However, if you are picking which banana item to get from the Kwik Trip bakery, you have to go with the banana bar. The real banana flavor of those is what I want the Kwik Trip Banana Dunker to be. However, this flavor of dunker, mixed with some hot coffee, unsurprisingly reminds me of the Banana Nut Bread coffee from Berres Brothers (from Watertown, WI). If you haven’t tried their coffee, get on it.
This limited-time Kwik Trip item is undoubtedly worth your own taste test! Obviously, if you don’t like bananas, then I would avoid this one. Also, we will also likely be releasing our rankings of every Kwik Trip Dunker flavor soon, so look forward to that!
