1) AJ Hawk, LB (2006-14)
NFL Draft: 2006, Round 1, Pick 5 to the Green Bay Packers
Drafted fifth overall, AJ Hawk is clearly the best player to ever wear the Green Bay Packers’ number 50 jersey. With 922 combined tackles, Hawk is the all-time leading tackler of the Packers. He also totaled nine interceptions, four forced fumbles and 19 sacks in nine seasons with the Packers.
Somehow, AJ Hawk was never a Pro Bowler or on an All-Pro team, though the NFC had incredible linebackers during his era. Still, Hawk was a tremendous player and he also won a Super Bowl with Green Bay.
2) Johnny Holland, LB (1987-93)
NFL Draft: 1987, Round 2, Pick 41 to the Green Bay Packers
Johnny Holland was a second-round pick who played all seven of his NFL seasons with the Packers. He made 100 starts at linebacker for Green Bay, totaling nine interceptions and 3.5 sacks. Holland would go on to coach for the Packers to begin his coaching career. He was on the staff for the Super Bowl XXXI win.
3) Jim Carter, LB (1970-78)
NFL Draft: 1970, Round 3, Pick 68 to the Green Bay Packers
Jim Carter was a third-round draft pick by Green Bay, and he ended up playing all eight of his NFL seasons in the Packers’ number 50 jersey. Unfortunately, an arm injury cost him the 1976 season. Still, he made 90 starts for Green Bay, totaling two sacks, six interceptions and a touchdown. He was also voted to the Pro Bowl one season.

Currently, Zach Tom wears the Green Bay Packers’ number 50 jersey. Tom had a solid rookie year in 2022, as the versatile offensive lineman was asked to make five starts and play multiple spots. He will be given the opportunity to win a starting spot on the offensive line in training camp.
