1) Rob Francois, OLB (2010-13)
NFL Draft: Undrafted in 2009
After going undrafted in 2009, Rob Francois bounced around the NFC North rosters, but he finally found a home in the Green Bay Packers’ number 49 jersey. All four of his NFL seasons were played in Green Bay, making three starts with the team. He totaled 36 tackles, one forced fumble and two interceptions in these four years.
2) David Greenwood, DB (1986)
NFL Draft: 1983, Round 8, Pick 206 to the New Orleans Saints
From Park Falls, Wisconsin, David Greenwood played three NFL seasons, with his second being with the Packers. He played nine games and totaled three sacks as a defensive back.
3) Ed West, TE (1984)
NFL Draft: Undrafted in 1984
Ed West had a long, successful NFL career, playing from 1984-97. He had a long 11-year career in Green Bay as well, but only his rookie season was played in the Packers’ number 49 jersey. So, while he did score 26 touchdowns for Green Bay, we can only count his rookie year for this list.
In his rookie season, Ed West played 16 games, totaling six receptions for 54 yards and four touchdowns. He also had a two-yard run for a touchdown as well.

Who Wears Packers’ Number 49 in 2023?
Currently, Austin Allen wears the Green Bay Packers’ number 49 jersey. Allen was an undrafted tight end in 2022 out of Nebraska. He is a massive specimen at the tight end position who was First-Team All-Big Ten in his senior season. Still, he needs to improve in order to make the active roster this season.
