The Milwaukee Brewers ended their west coast road trip with a three-game sweep of the Seattle Mariners. Can the red-hot Brewers continue their run, or will the Boston Red Sox give the Brewers some trouble? Below, we have Red Sox vs Brewers predictions for this week’s series, including projected starting pitchers, betting odds, injury report and the NL Central standings.
Milwaukee Brewers News | Red Sox vs Brewers Series Predictions
The Milwaukee Brewers left for the west coast road trip and passed a massive test with flying colors. Milwaukee won seven of eight against two very talented teams to end a successful trip. The Brewers finally got a day off on Thursday after playing for 13 straight days. With the bullpen now rested, it will be interesting to see if they continue their hot start.
This Red Sox vs Brewers series will be a great chance for the Brewers to start this nine-game homestand the right way. Milwaukee has done an excellent job so far against good teams on paper, but will they get tripped up by an average at-best Boston team? With more tough games on the horizon, taking care of business at home against the Red Sox is crucial.
Boston Red Sox News | Red Sox vs Brewers Series Predictions
The Boston Red Sox struggled out of the gate, starting 5-8 over their first 13 games. Since then, Boston took three of four from the Los Angeles Angels and two of three from the Minnesota Twins. Both those teams are solid, but they aren’t at the level of the Brewers.
Boston has been an interesting team this year as they sit at 10-10 even with a weak schedule so far. While the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles are both over .500 at the moment, neither should’ve beaten Boston so easily. The Red Sox have one of the best offenses in the majors so far as they are third in the MLB in runs scored. Unfortunately, they have also given up the fifth most runs in the MLB. If Milwaukee limits its run production, Boston may not have the pitching to keep these games close.
