1) Clarence Williams, DE (1970-77)
NFL Draft: 1969, Round 11, Pick 283 to the Dallas Cowboys
Clarence Williams was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys, but he spent his entire rookie season on the team’s taxi squad. The next year, Green Bay traded Herb Adderley for Williams and Malcolm Walker. Williams would then play his final eight NFL seasons in the Packers’ number 83 jersey.
He made 94 starts for the Packers and totaled 51 sacks and one interception in his career.
2) Bill Quinlan, DE (1959-62)
NFL Draft: 1956, Round 3, Pick 37 to the Cleveland Browns
Bill Quinlan had an interesting NFL career. He was first drafted in the third round by the Cleveland Browns. After two seasons, Cleveland traded Quinlan to the Packers. He played four seasons in Green Bay, totaling 15.5 sacks and two interceptions while winning two NFL Championships in his four Packer seasons. After this, Green Bay traded him to Detroit. Quinlan would then play one season with the Lions, one with the Philadelphia Eagles, and one with the Washington Redskins.
3) John Jefferson, WR (1981-84)
NFL Draft: 1978, Round 1, Pick 14 to the San Diego Chargers
John Jefferson had a fantastic NFL career, though his best seasons were with the San Diego Chargers before being traded to the Green Bay Packers. After leading the league in receiving yards and touchdowns, Jefferson was traded to the Packers where he would play opposite James Lofton.
Jefferson would play four seasons in Green Bay, totaling 149 receptions, 2,253 yards and 11 touchdowns while being voted to a Pro Bowl.

Who Wears Packers’ Number 83 in 2023?
Currently, Samori Toure wears the Green Bay Packers’ number 83. Drafted in the seventh round out of Nebraska, Toure has shown flashes and certainly looks like a great pick in the last round of the draft, for whatever that is worth. He has impressed this offseason as well, so it appears he has earned himself more snaps and targets in 2023.
