1) Ahman Green, RB (2000-06)
NFL Draft: 1998, Round 3, Pick 76 to the Seattle Seahawks
Ahman Green is unquestionably the best player to ever wear the Green Bay Packers’ number 30. After being acquired from the Seattle Seahawks in 2000, Green would explode for 8,162 rushing yards and 67 total touchdowns in his first stint with the Packers. He added five Pro Bowls and a second-team All-Pro.
Green did have a short second stint with the Packers, but it was nothing special and was in another jersey number. Regardless, Green is, and always will be, one of the greatest Packers running backs of all time.
2) Jamaal Williams, RB (2017-20)
NFL Draft: 2017, Round 4, Pick 134 to the Green Bay Packers
Jamaal Williams was more than just a fun guy to have in the locker room. Williams was with the Packers for four years and served as a formidable “Robin” to Aaron Jones’ “Batman.” He ran for just under 2,000 yards and had over 1,100 receiving yards. Williams brought more to the team than his abilities as a ball carrier though, as he was one of the best blocking running backs in the entire league. Although he’s now with the New Orleans Saints, “Swagg Daddy” will always have a place in our hearts.
3) John Kuhn, FB (2007-15)
NFL Draft: 2005, Undrafted FA signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers
One of the most beloved Packers in the modern era sits in third with fullback John Kuhn. His best season was in 2010 when he ran for 281 yards and six total touchdowns. Although he didn’t get much work with the ball, the Packers always gave it to him at the goal line. Kuhn ran for 601 total yards over his nine seasons with the Pack, and he had 26 total touchdowns. He received three Pro Bowl and one All-Pro nods during his time in Green Bay, and you can still hear the fans’ “Kuuuuhhhhn” call reverberate through Lambeau if you listen close enough.
Who Wears Packers’ Number 30 in 2023?
Currently, Tarvarius Moore wears the Green Bay Packers’ number 30 jersey. The sixth-year veteran is currently battling for the fourth safety spot. It’s unlikely Moore will get many snaps as a safety, if he makes the team, but he could be an option for the Packers for special teams work.
