NFL Draft: 1958, Round 1, Pick 3 to the Green Bay Packers
The 1958 NFL Draft was a great one for the Packers, selecting Jim Taylor, Ray Nitschke and Jerry Kramer. Before all of those players, Green Bay selected Dan Currie.
Dan Currie wore the Green Bay Packers’ number 58 jersey for the first seven years of his career. He was a two-time NFL Champion, two-time Second-Team All-Pro, he was a First-Team All-Pro once and a Pro Bowler once as well. Currie totaled 11 interceptions, 3.5 sacks and a touchdown with the Packers.
2) Mike Flanagan, C (1998-2005)
NFL Draft: 1996, Round 3, Pick 90 to the Green Bay Packers
Center Mike Flanagan spent the first 10 seasons of his career as a member of the Green Bay Packers. However, he missed his first two seasons due to injuries, but he did technically get a Super Bowl ring. He overcame the injuries to eventually be an every-week starter, and he even made a Pro Bowl.
3) Mark Cannon, C (1984-89)
NFL Draft: 1984, Round 11, Pick 294 to the Green Bay Packers
Mark Cannon is another center to wear the Green Bay Packers’ number 58 jersey. He spent five-plus seasons with the Packers, starting 51 games.
