Let’s Go Wisconsin goes over three Green Bay landmarks to visit while in town for the 2025 NFL Draft!
If you are attending the 2025 NFL Draft, and have some extra time on your hands, there are a few Green Bay landmarks that you need to check out. We understand that most of your time will be spent either at or around Lambeau Field, but if you are in town early or are staying through Sunday, you might as well check out some of the cool things that Green Bay offers. While there are several bars and restaurants that you have to check out, there are also some tourist destinations that really capture the essence of what Green Bay is as a city.
See the following article for my list of three Green Bay landmarks that you have to visit.
Green Bay Landmarks to Visit During the NFL Draft
City Stadium
200 N Baird Street, Green Bay, WI
If you are traveling from out of town to Green Bay for the NFL Draft, I assume that you are a football fan. Since Green Bay itself is basically a professional football museum with some sort of memorabilia in every building around the city, you might as well visit the stadium that helped establish the Green Bay Packers as a must-see attraction – City Stadium. Built in 1925, City Stadium still stands on the east side of Green Bay, next to Green Bay East High School.
While I am not sure if the stadium will be open to tour, just driving by it will give you a good idea of what going to a professional football game looked like in the early 1900s. The stadium was originally built in a horseshoe shape and could seat around 6,000 patrons. That eventually expanded to 25,000. It was eventually renovated in 2008 to show what you would see today.
The Packers last played here in 1956. But today, the Green Bay East High School football team uses City Stadium as its home field. With rivalry games between East and West high schools, City Stadium has seen its fair share of football in its existence. With East playing its home games here, it is almost a rite of passage to play high school football here if you grew up at any of the high schools around Green Bay.
Fonferek’s Glen
2825 Dutchman Road, Green Bay, WI
Fonferek’s Glen is a cool area in Green Bay as it showcases the beauty of the land surrounding the city without being bogged down by buildings and the public. At a glance, Fonferek’s Glen is a 75-acre county park that features a number of walking trails, as well as a 30-ish foot waterfall that produces immaculate views of the park. A new-ish observatory outlook was built in 2019 to give visitors an easy-to-access avenue to take in the views.
Staying within the designated areas will be your best bet, as things can get a little dangerous if you venture off the paths. Either way, your trip to Fonferek’s Glen will be very enjoyable. This will give you an opportunity to get some time out in Mother Nature. The park is open from 8 a.m. to dusk and is self-guided, so enjoy the peaceful time outside as you are looking for something to do in the mornings before the rounds.

Wequiock Falls County Park
3426 Bay Settlement Road, Green Bay, WI
Similar to Fonferek’s Glen, if you are looking to get out in nature while you have some time off from the NFL Draft, you need to travel to the deep east side of the city. Wequiock Falls offers another beautiful waterfall right off the road to visit. While the park is not nearly as big as Fonferek’s Glen, it does offer a beautiful trail to view the waterfall and incredible rock formations. As the spring season is here, when at Wequiock, you will see the falls rushing strong, before it gradually slows down come summertime.
A part of Wequiock Falls includes a monument for Jean Nicolet. For those who don’t know, Nicolet is the founder of the land that eventually became the City of Green Bay, pretty close to where the falls flow today. The park is free to use and is open from dawn to dusk every day. Since it is located so far on the east side of the city, you should be able to get some peace outside of the hustle of the NFL Draft. Wequiock offers a great area to set up a picnic for lunch before you head into the madness.
