Season 1 of Quarterback, which aired on Netflix, was a hit. Produced by Omaha Productions and NFL Films, followed the day-by-day during the NFL season of three quarterbacks of varying skill levels and notoriety: Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. Since the first season wrapped, many fans have been asking which of the NFL’s passers would be on Quarterback Season 2.
As with everything, it has been the negative headlines that have been the loudest. We have heard many headlines sharing that players have turned down the offer to be featured in Quarterback Season 2. Passers that have turned it down include Lamar Jackson, Justin Fields, Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford and Sam Howell.
Less loud was Joe Burrow allegedly accepting the offer. Clearly, he would be the star of the season. Now, who will fill the other two spots? Well, it looks like Jordan Love may be featured in his first season as a starter.
Jordan Love Likely On Netflix’s Quarterback Season 2
The founder of Omaha Productions was in attendance for the Green Bay Packers Training Camp practice today. That’s right. NFL Hall of Famer stole the show in Green Bay today, autographing both Packers and Colts gear after practice, but that’s not why he was there.
Manning was in Green Bay to talk about a potential project for Omaha Productions. It’s not a stretch to think it was about Netflix’s Quarterback Season 2.
Was Peyton Manning in Wisconsin to convince Jordan Love to do the Netflix documentary, or was he in attendance to get everything squared away for the start of filming? While we don’t have the answer for that, we do know there is a high chance we see Jordan Love on Quarterback Season 2.
Will this be a distraction? Overall, you can’t say doing the documentary is a distraction since Patrick Mahomes won both NFL MVP and a Super Bowl while doing it. However, it wasn’t Mahomes’ first season as a starter. Regardless of how this Packers season goes for Love, it would certainly be an entertaining watch.
