There are many questions for the Green Bay Packers heading into Philadelphia for Wild Card Weekend. While this will surely be a tough test regardless of how well Green Bay plays, some of the biggest questions fans have for the Packers this week surround the Jordan Love injury.
Yes, much like the Week 1 matchup against the Eagles, we are again wanting a Jordan Love injury update. This time, the injury has to do with his elbow, which I am being told is important for quarterbacks. Luckily, we have an update on the injured elbow for Jordan Love, and it is positive. We also have a Jalen Hurts injury update as well, which is also positive, unfortunately.
Jordan Love Injury Update For Packers vs Eagles
While Jordan Love exited the Week 18 game against the Bears and did not return, it did not appear as though the elbow injury for Love was significant. If it had been a game of more importance, he may have played. Still, the Packers were cautious to start the week, with Love saying he was “hopeful” to play during Wild Card Weekend.
On Wednesday, Love ended up practicing in a limited fashion, providing optimism for Sunday. He was elevated to a full participant for Thursday’s practice report, meaning he is good to go for the matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. He will need to be at his best for the Green Bay Packers to steal a win as a seventh seed, as they did last season.
Jalen Hurts is Good to Go
The quarterback on the other side of this game had injury concerns as well. After exiting Week 16 with a concussion, Jalen Hurts missed the final two games of the season. However, Jalen Hurts practiced fully on Thursday, meaning he is on track to play.
Jalen Hurts last played on December 22nd. Due to the long break between game action, there is a very real chance that he has a bit of rust that needs to be shaken off. The fact that it took him so long to get out of concussion protocol also may raise a little concern for Eagles fans. For us Packer fans, however, this means Green Bay has a chance to make Wild Card Weekend as wild as last season.
